We are back at one of the happiest places on Earth, Lakeland, FL, host to the 36th Annual Sun 'n Fun Fly-In! Will and David invite a whole bunch of their friends into the (not so) virtual hangar on the deck of Sun 'n Fun Radio. The guys (and one lady) had an awesome time talking about, well, everything. Mike and his wife Elizabeth talk about getting licensed to fly and where their future aviating will take them ... including a new airplane of their very own. Dave talks about his podcast and his impressions of Sun 'n Fun. Phil talks about his flight training and his impressions of his first airshow, ever. And finally Rod and Roger join us to talk about some of the social aspects of aviation. If you were able to listen to it live on Sun 'n Fun Radio or LiveATC.net, you know it was an awesome show. A special thanks goes out to Dave Shallbetter of Sun 'n Fun Radio for hosting us again this year. Thanks to Dave Pascoeand the crew at LiveATC.net for streaming the show (and all of Sun 'n Fun Radio) live on the Internet. Thanks to Steve Tupper and Scott Cannizzaro for the music for this show. And finally, and huge thank you to Steve Tupper and the entire 7600 team for the creation and use of "The Last Pure Thing on the Radio", a song written by Steve for all of those involved with airshow radio, the last "real" radio, the last pure thing on the radio. You can find out more and download your own copy of the song here. |

The annual Sun 'n Fun Fly-In and other events like it are not just about airplanes, but about the people who love airplanes. For this reason, Will and David have decided to run a special series of QuickCasts for the 2010 Sun 'n Fun Fly-In called "It's About the People". During this series, we will find regular attendees, the people who love airplanes, and talk to them about their reasons for coming to Sun 'n Fun. In this episode, we found Don Clark, John Bradley, and Sean Walsh all sitted under the wing of Don's Piper Pacer in the vintage aircraft parking area. |
