Wed, 16 September 2009 In our first episode after having returned home from EAA Airventure Oshkosh 2009, we welcome Brenden back into the virtual hangar. Brenden made an apperance on episode 14 when he was the President Elect of the Oregon Pilot's Association. During that episode, Brenden vowed to come back and tell us about getting his helicopter rating once he finished it. Well, here he is with a fresh helicopter rating to give us an insight into flying them. Will and David would like to make a couple of special shoutouts this week. First, we'd like to thank Jeb Burnside of The Uncontrolled Airspace Podcast for giving David a ride to Airventure in his Beechcraft Debonair. This was David's first trip to Oshkosh, and Jeb's unending generosity made the trip that much more amazing. Secondly, Will and David would like to thank Steve Tupper and Scott Cannizzaro for the continued use of the Thunderbird Groove on this podcast. But wait, there's more. During the jam session at Firebase myTransponder at Oshkosh, Scott turns to me and says, "Oh by the way, I'm going to make you a new mix that will work better for the podcast." How cool is that?! You will hear Scott's podcast-friendly mix of the Thunderbird Groove at the beginning if this episode. As always, please stay in touch with us. You can find both Will and David on Twitter. You can email us for comments, suggestions, or to be a guest at pilotsflightpodlog@gmail.com. You can also leave comments right on the podcast page at http://pilotwill.libsyn.com.
